Labia augmentation, also called labia puffing, enhances the size or shape of the outer “lips” of the vagina (labia majora). Injectable fillers can be used to add volume to the area. Fat transfer begins with liposuction to remove fat from a suitable area of the body. The fat is then purified and injected directly into the skin tissue targeted to be augmented. Multiple injections are necessary because 20%-30% of the injected fat is naturally broken down by the body.
