A cheek lift, AKA a mid-face lift, is a minimally invasive procedure designed to lift the cheek and mid-face region. A mid-facelift is most effectively done via incisions in the lower eyelid and behind the top lip. The procedure begins with the making of incisions hidden within the hairline at the temple. Once the incisions are made, the surgeon adjusts the fat and muscle tissue and then suture loops are placed through the incisions under the skin of the mid-face. This is done to elevate the cheek fat pads. The tissue is then held in place by a suspension or stitches placed in the incision in the hair at the temples.
