There are times when it seems that people will go to any length to try and retain, or regain, a youthful look. From stories about Brazilian butt lift (BBL) surgery to the latest news about Botox, fillers, and breast augmentation, there are plenty of options for patients who want to rejuvenate their appearance. Let’s take a look at one woman from California who is willing to spend as much money as she needs to prevent the effects of aging from impacting her body.
A forty-one-year-old woman ended up going viral on social media with a TikTok video after she made the claim that she has spent over $25,000 on plastic surgery in an effort to prevent the effects of aging on her body.
The woman, Theresa Byrne, is a beauty content creator who is located in California. Her plastic surgery journey started when she was twenty-eight years old. At that time, she made the decision to undergo cosmetic procedures in the area under her eyes because she started to notice “a lot of hollowing and darkness” forming under her eyes.
When discussing her decision to spend so much money on plastic surgery for her appearance, Byrne said, “If you’re anything like me, the aging process bothered you a little bit…We all operate on different budgets, different comfort levels of the aging process, and how much time and attention we’re willing to put into that experience.”
When she was in her late twenties, Byrne made a discovery of lines that had formed on the bottom of her face. Once she viewed the lines, Byrne “did not like it and did not want to deal with it.” In order to reduce their look, she decided to get filler injected in the area under her eyes. In her own words, she “really enjoyed” the results she gained from the filler.
Since that time, the California content creator has spent thousands of dollars on various plastic surgery procedures to enhance her look and maintain a youthful appearance. Some of the procedures she has undergone (and their cost) include $5000 to gain a better definition to her chin, $12,000 on rhinoplasty to gain a slimmer look to her nose, and $2000 to enjoy a look to her arms that is more defined in appearance.
In her TikTok video, Byrne discussed how the changes were made to her arms to give them a more aesthetically pleasing look. “I’ve gotten arm liposculpture. The fat was removed from the back of my arm to reveal more muscle shape and definition.”
When discussing the cosmetic procedures that have been performed on her face, Byrne added that her filler and Botox injections cost anywhere from $600-$800 per syringe and that there is “Botox and filler all over (her) face.”
Her most recent procedure is a lip lift. According to the content creator, “This is where the plastic surgeon removes the skin underneath the nose and pulls the lip up. The surgical lip lift cost me $5000.”
Byrne has an Instagram account as well as a TikTok account where she discusses the reasons behind her treatments. In addition, she claims to be determined to [break] the silence on cosmetic procedures.
In one video, she shared the story about first considering plastic surgery while she was only earning two thousand dollars per month. By putting her mind to it and making a plan, she was able to afford her desired procedures by being a “fabulous goal setter. I prioritize, I plan, I save, and then I do what I want.”
She went on to add, “As confidence in myself grew, so did my ability to make money, and I was able to save for more extravagant procedures. I learned that what you want to afford in this life, you will. I believed I could, so I did. I want to know the story you’re telling yourself about whether or not you can afford something. It starts [in the mind]…whether you think you can or think you can’t, you’re right.”
Thanks to her outspoken nature regarding her appearance, the public has started to thank Byrne for her honest thoughts in her social media videos. One user said, “I love that with the results you still look like yourself, very natural!” Another person shared, “Oh my God, thank you! Someone who is honest about work done. Love the honesty, respect.” A third person commented on social media, “Girl I love how honest you are! You look beautiful.”
Finally, one social media user asked Byrne which procedure she felt was the worst one when it came to pain. Her reply was, “When I came out of the anesthesia for the nose and chin, and when the surgeon put the numbing shot in next to my nose for the lip lift.”
