Natalie Halcro and Olivia Pierson are fashion bloggers that have expanded their empire far beyond the blog portion of the Internet. This pair of cousins has been reality TV stars (Nat & Liv, WAGS) and even the brains behind a line of sunglasses.
They have also been very open about the cosmetic procedures they have undergone in the past. Cosmetic Town TV recently took a look at the ever changing appearance of this influential duo:
Natalie Halcro turned to CoolSculpting to enhance her appearance and contour her body. CoolSculpting uses an applicator to cool the area being treated to a temperature that makes the targeted fat cells crystalize and then die. Some of the areas that can be targeted for CoolSculpting include the waist, abdomen, hips, neck and thighs.
Ideal candidates include patients who realize that this is not a weight loss procedure, someone looking to treat localized areas of fat and a person with good skin tone and also a good amount of skin elasticity.
CoolSculpting begins with fat being placed between two cooling panels. The CoolSculpting device creates a suction movement that will remove the fat cells that are damaged by the freezing sensation created by the device. In addition, the body will absorb the fat cells that die as a result of the freezing sensation. While this is not a weight loss procedure, the use of the CoolSculpting device does create a permanent reduction in the amount of fat in the targeted area. The fat cells that are removed will not return. Patients can gain fat in the areas surrounding the targeted area but it will not return to the area that was treated.
There is very little recovery time for patients after they undergo CoolSculpting. In fact, patients can return to their normal activities immediately after the treatment. Some of the results will be visible within two or three weeks but the final results will not be seen for at least three or four months. As mentioned above, the fat that is removed from the area will not return so the results of CoolSculpting are considered to be permanent.
Although it might seem odd to say about a treatment with the word “filler” in its name, jawline fillers slim the jawline to help it look more prominent as well as more defined and contoured. A patient will discuss the desired results with the doctor before having filler injected into targeted areas in the jawline. Once the filler is injected, the doctor can massage the treated area to ensure that the filler spreads out in the targeted area and does not form any lumps where it settles. The amount of filler that is injected depends on the final results desired by the person.
There will be some swelling that is visible after the injections are placed by the doctor. The swelling is usually minimal and will resolve on its own. There will be also be some soreness and tenderness that, much like the swelling, will eventually resolve on its own.
The final results of jawline fillers can last anywhere from six to twelve months. The length of the results varies per patient but the results depend on the amount of filler that is injected as well as the patient properly following any post-treatment instructions.
The treatments listed above are some of the most popular non-surgical treatments currently enjoyed by patients across the country. The first step in having either treatment is to schedule a consultation with a board-certified doctor or an experienced medical professional. The doctor will examine the patient and discuss the final results that are desired by the person. It is important that the doctor thoroughly examine the patient to make sure he or she is in good overall health as well as an ideal patient for a cosmetic treatment. Patients should also look at “before and after” photos of actual patients to see the natural looking results provided by the doctor. Once patients feel comfortable with the person providing the treatment, they can schedule the treatment and achieve the appearance they desire after CoolSculpting or jawline fillers.
