Dolly Parton is one of the most popular country singers of all time as well as one of the most famous people in the world. Her career has moved beyond country music to include movies, television, theme parks and charitable acts. Dolly has been in the public eye since the 1960s and her appearance has certainly changed over the years. The difference in the way she looks has caused many people to speculate about possible plastic surgery over the years.

In an interview with People Magazine, Grossman told the publication “She’s had her face rejuvenated on a number of occasions, [but] not a full facelift”.
As mentioned above, Dolly Parton has undergone several plastic surgery procedures in the past including breast augmentation and rhinoplasty. Unlike many celebrities, Parton has been very open and candid about her cosmetic procedures and has discussed them at length.
In an interview with CBS, Parton told the network “It is true that I look artificial, but I believe that I’m totally real. My look is really based on a country girl’s idea of glam. I wasn’t naturally pretty, so I make the most of anything I’ve got.”
She went on to add “You should have seen me this morning before I got ready to see you. I’m serious, though, I’m not a natural beauty, but I can enhance it. Whatever it takes, I do, I try to make the most of everything.”
In addition to discussing her plastic surgery over the years, Parton revealed that she sleeps with a full face of makeup in case of an emergency. She does seem to have a sense of fun about her evolving appearance as the country star has been quoted as saying “If something is bagging, sagging or dragging, I’ll tuck it, suck it or pluck it.”
When asked why she is able to poke fun at herself, Dolly replied that her ability to make fun of herself is fueled by two reasons: “You know what they’re thinking, so you want to do it too, but I’m also funny.”
While Dolly Parton is open about her past plastic surgery, there are many celebrity watchers that debate when she first started to have cosmetic procedures performed to refresh and rejuvenate her appearance.
Some people feel that she first started having plastic surgery when she was in her mid-to-late 40s (Parton is now 73 years of age). They use this time of her life as a starting point for her changes via cosmetic procedures because that is the first time that she started to show signs of aging such as volume loss in her face. Many of her fans feel that Dolly uses a combination of microneedling, moisturizers and creams and laser treatments to maintain her appearance.
The fans of Dolly Parton also feel that, along with the cosmetic procedures, genetics play a big part in her current appearance. Dolly Parton has often discussed how living a healthy lifestyle is important to her. When asked to comment on this theory, Dr. Vartan Mardirossian, a plastic surgeon from West Palm Beach, Florida told Closer Weekly that he believes her current appearance is thanks to a combination of cosmetic and genetic factors. He told the magazine, “I do believe that it is a healthy and harmonious lifestyle with her personal wisdom and deprived of exaggerations that preserved her beauty through the years. I do believe that includes the wisdom of choosing the right, skillful and honest plastic surgeon for her face.”
Even though Dolly Parton has been open in the past about her various plastic surgery procedures, there is no way to actually tell everything she has had performed until Dolly decides to share that information. It is also not know if she will decide to open up about all of the cosmetic surgery work she had performed anytime in the near future. Until Dolly Parton decides to share this personal information with her fans, as well as the general public, it will just be a matter of speculation about all of the plastic surgery procedures performed on Dolly Parton.
