Laser skin resurfacing removes damaged skin cells to create a smooth look. Chemical peels remove top layers of facial skin to get rid of wrinkles and fine lines. Laser skin tightening uses infrared light to heat the layers under the skin surface to stimulate collagen production. Microdermabrasion lessens age spots and light scars via a handheld instrument that sprays crystals to exfoliate the skin so light suction can remove dead skin cells. Thermage controlled radio waves pass over the face to stimulate collagen to tighten the skin. Botox eliminates wrinkles and lines through an injectable. Fillers increase lip and face volume, reduce wrinkles and improves skin contour.

Skin rejuvenation is not limited to older patients. Many younger patients look to skin rejuvenation to tighten their skin and enhance their appearance. Candidates for skin rejuvenation include those who have sun damaged skin, wrinkles around the mouth and forehead, crow’s feet lines around their eyes, discolored and uneven pigmentation, acne scars and a loss of volume in their face due to aging.

The cost of skin rejuvenation depends on the treatment performed as well as the depth and length of the treatment. Laser skin resurfacing can cost in the range of $1000-$5000 while chemical peel treatments are $500-$2000. Laser skin tightening has a price range of $450-$2000. Microdermabrasion is $100-$250 per treatment. Thermage is generally around $1000-$5000 and Botox can cost a flat rate of $400-$1000. The cost of fillers varies between which filler is chosen by the patient and they can cost anywhere from $460-$1800.

Laser skin resurfacing and tightening give results that last several years. Chemical peel results depend on the depth of the peel with superficial peels lasting 2-3 months and medium to deeper peels lasting a year or more. Microdermabrasion results last 2-3 months and Thermage results last for at least 2 years. Botox injections must be repeated every 4-6 months to maintain the results and fillers can last 6 months to 2 years depending on the type of filler used by the patient.

Halo hybrid fractional laser is a skin laser that delivers ablative and non-ablative wavelengths of laser energy at the same time. Ablative lasers, like CO2 and Erbium, vaporize the outer skin layers to effectively resurface and rejuvenate the skin. Non-ablative technologies like Fraxel laser...
