Laser resurfacing reduces facial wrinkles as well as skin irregularities such as acne scars or blemishes. The procedure directs short pulsating beams of light at the targeted areas of the skin to rejuvenate it using either carbon dioxide (CO2) laser or erbium laser. The CO2 laser removes thin layers of skin. The erbium laser removes surface level skin as well as moderately deep wrinkles or lines on the targeted areas of the face, neck, chest or hands.
