The procedure begins with a regular full body acupuncture treatment to prevent energy congestion in the face. Next, 40-70 tiny needles are inserted in the face. As the needles puncture the skin, they create wounds within its threshold which are called positive microtraumas. When the body senses these wounds, it goes into repair mode. These punctures stimulate the lymphatic and circulatory system which work together to deliver nutrients and oxygen to the skin cells. This nourishes the skin from the inside out. The positive microtraumas also stimulate the production of collagen.
