The subject of plastic surgery is a controversial one. However, I think we can all agree that the bigger issue here is how teenage parents are becoming more concerned with getting breast enhancements instead of investing that time and money to raise their children properly.
Three teenage moms from the TV series “Teen Mom 2” and “Teen Mom 3” all decided to get plastic surgery last week from renowned surgeon, Dr. Michael Salzhauer , AKA Dr. Miami. The TV stars received mommy makeover procedures from the doctor who details that “Kailyn [Lowry] had a Brazilian butt lift and a tummy tuck. Briana [Dejesus] had the Brazilian butt lift, labiaplasty and breast implant exchange – she had implants and she wasn't happy with them so she went a bit bigger. And Brittany [Dejesus] had a Brazilian butt lift and fat transfer to the breasts, she didn't want implants, she wanted a more natural augmentation."
Although mommy makeover procedures have seen an increase in demand and popularity from the past year, should we be a little concerned when more and more young parents are taking out their life savings just to get a beach body? As mentioned above, young mom Kailyn Lowry has already received 2 major plastic surgery procedures and she is only 23 years old. A tummy tuck or Brazilian butt lift can cause serious and sometimes life threatening complications like skin necrosis and permanent nerve damage, yet Kailyn had no gripes about risking her physical well-being in the hopes of getting a Hollywood bod while risking herself and her children’s future.
Getting your body back after pregnancy is one thing but these self-absorbed young moms still have their youthfulness and don’t require plastic surgery at all. Young moms like Kailyn are less worried about their newborn child than they are about how they look like in a bikini. After getting a procedure, you can bet that they would be going out to clubs, bars and parties to show off their new physique instead of using that time to bond with their family.
This is the society we live in folks. Where a bunch of narcissistic, immature young adults are starting a family too early and regretting it later. They claim that they missed out on life so they try to make up for it by keeping up their party habits instead of focusing on what actually matters –parenting.
How will their kids grow up when the only example they’re getting is from their selfish parents? Instead of being instilled with the proper moral and social lessons, these unfortunate kids will learn to value superficial virtues like their looks and what clothes they wear more than having the right integrity and moral standards.
We are breeding a generation of self-absorbed adults with arrested development issues at a scale we’ve never seen before. If you thought Facebook and Instagram is the pinnacle of narcissism, wait until this new generation of kids grow up to prove you wrong.
A good parent should understand what it means to be selfless, make sacrifices and making sure their children become the best they can possibly be. On the other hand, spending thousands of dollars on cosmetic surgery so you can show off to your friends is not an ideal way of parenting.
