Meg Ryan was one of the top box office stars in the world thanks to her movies with Tom Hanks and Billy Crystal. She was regarded as a leading lady who was fresh-faced and cute with a girl next door look. These days, she is known less for her movies and more for the cosmetic surgery performed on her face.

According to Hollywood insiders, Ryan’s list of procedures starts with a facelift. Many celebrity watchers speculate about the facelift because they claim that her forehead and the area between her eyes don’t move anymore. She is also suspected of undergoing multiple laser resurfacings that have left her face extremely smooth. Insiders also think that Botox was used to help her avoid wrinkles and create tighter skin overall on her face. It’s also been said that Ryan likely had a large amount of filler or fat transfer placed in her cheeks to make them appear overstuffed. The fact that her lips appear overfilled could be due to filler injections or lip implants. No matter which choice she used, the treatment gave her a slightly creepy grin much like The Joker from Batman comic books.

Unfortunately, that’s not all she is suspected of undergoing in the past. Some doctors feel that Ryan decided to have a lot of work done on her eyes since they appear to be thinner than they were in the past. This could be an indication of the lower lids being lifted in the past. In fact, her eyes appear to be stretched back and slightly slanted as opposed to their appearance when she was younger. A neck lift is also a possibility thanks to the lack of hanging skin in the neck area. Just when it seems like the list of treatments is over, there is also the subject of her nose looking different in terms of it being much narrower than before. One expert describes it as looking pinched due to rhinoplasty.

The amount of work she has undergone has been limited to her face and neck area. While there is no evidence of breast augmentation or buttock augmentation on Ryan, she seems to have made use of cosmetic procedures anywhere possible on her face and neck. As she has never publicly commented on her suspected work, it is unknown what started all of the changes in her appearance. Was she trying to look young to land movie roles? Was she making a change in her appearance to please a boyfriend? Is plastic surgery addiction a factor in the changing look of Meg Ryan? Until she decides to open up to the public about her surgeries, her fans will never know the answer. It is known that she did herself no favors in Hollywood by making such a drastic change in her appearance. It has been years since she headlined a movie and it might be many more years until the public accepts her appearance and welcomes her back to the big screen.
