A 32-year-old out-of-town plastic surgery patient came for consultation about liposuction of abdomen and thighs. She wanted “minimal improvement” of abdomen and inner thighs. After clinical evaluation in our Fort Lauderdale based plastic surgery center we discussed contouring of abdomen, flanks and thighs by means of liposuction. Although we suggested contouring of lateral thighs (saddle bag deformity) as a part of treatment patient refused it. In general anesthesia we performed suction lipectomy of upper and lower abdomen and flanks and minimal liposuction of inner thighs. Patient recovery was fast, without any discomfort. She was back to work (a sailing boat crew) in 7 days. She continued to wear custom made compressive garment for 3 weeks as recommended. Image on the left shows patient before liposuction; image on the right shows patient 6 months after body contouring with liposuction. Notice significant improvement of the abdomen and inner thighs. However, saddle bag deformity is still there. Patient is considering liposuction contouring of that area in her next visit to Fort Lauderdale.
This 27 years nose surgery patient from New Zealand presented in our plastic surgery Fort Lauderdale office to see whether we can improve her profile with nose surgery. She was not satisfied with appearance of nose hump and she considered her nose to be too bulky and large for her face. She had no complains regarding breathing in effort or during exercise. Clinical evaluation revealed mild nasal hump, bulky, square and “poorly defined” nose tip. The nose was out of harmony with the rest of her face. Her preoperative image (left) demonstrates longer nose (when measured from forehead to the tip of the nose), heavy, bulky nose tip without refinement, poorly projected (nose tip on the left image is not the most prominent point of her nose). Her postoperative image (right) demonstrates absence of the hump, slightly shorter nose with upward rotated tip which now has the most prominent position on the nose. A comparison of preoperative (left) and 1 year postoperative images (right) demonstrates several areas of improvement of the nose as well as the entire facial profile. Patient’s nose is shorter, tip is balanced and nicely projected, her lips and chin are more visible; this creates a true harmony of the profile.
47 years old athletic professional women from Palm Beach, Fl, has three grown up children. She wanted breast enlargement from cup size A/B to C. Silicone gel implants 300 ml were placed underneath the muscle in order to avoid implant border visibility and rippling. Breast implants were placed through an incision along areola border. She shows full cone-shaped breasts with upper pole fullness. An athletic outdoor oriented 47 year old woman with firm muscular body before and 1.5 years after breast augmentation with silicone gel implants.
