Dysport - New version of Botox

Postby Daniel on Sat Oct 31, 2009 5:02 pm

I was just reading on Dysport, which they said is a new version of Botox, but it is cheaper. I like to save some money on my monthly beautification procedures; however, I was not sure that this is the right decision to switch to Dysport. I want to know more about it and at least talk to someone who has experienced both “Botox” and “Dysport”.
I don’t want to use a less effective product or go through any unnecessary side effects only because I want to save a few bucks.
Somebody please let me know what to do.

Thanks,
Daniel

The difference between Dysport and Botox is not fully understood. Some say Dysport can achieve quicker results. while Botox takes up to five days to work. But Dysport has been reported to work within two days. For some people, wrinkles have disappeared within 24 hours of Dysport treatment. The blazing-fast effectiveness may be an important benefit for those who want to look youthful before a social party or holiday get-together.

Dysport is another version of botulinum neurotoxin with very similar functions to Botox. Stilts is right and there are some reports of possible shorter onset. Dysport has been used in Europe for years, but has recently come to American market and became FDA approved for some particular indications to improve the appearance of wrinkles in the face. A friend of mine just received Sysport last week and I got to see her two days after her Dysport injection. She had it for frown line and obviously even after 2 days she could not move them much. I can not say they were frozen, but she definaltely had great result for only two days post injection that I think is something that has been mentioned here in this forum too.

I will be checking again with her next week to see what was the time she could see the maximum result. I am personally curious to see which one to choose, Botox with more years being in American market or Dysport with good reports but less time since It got approved by FDA for American market.

I will keep checking back. Please give me any reports if you tried Dysport already.

Thanks,

Sounds like I got to do it with Dysport.

The reason I have not done it before is that I used to think you may become addicted to it or other cosmetic procedures. But it feels like, it is the time now.

I'm a fan of dysport because of its lack of side effects and also all dysport really does is paralyze the muscles so the wrinkles go away. It's not like you're going under the knife or anything extreme like that.

I just tried the new "Dysport Challenge" at Dr. Mohebi's office and I LOVED it!!! It's so great to hear that companies like this are offering rebate offers to people that wouldn't normally be able to afford the services & allows us to try out their products without breaking the bank. I personally loved the treatment so I got another $75 off my next Dysport treatment as well as the first, but even if you don't like your first Dysport treatment you are still offered $75 off BOTOX as an alternative! I guess companies are finally catching onto the idea that money doesn't grow on trees for us consumers anymore. I hope this post points the direction of others to the Dysport Challenge before it ends because it would definitely be a shame to miss =( GOOD LUCK EVERYONE, I hope you love it as much as me!!
