Thread Lift

Thread Lift is a facial rejuvenation procedure designed to gently elevate sagging brows, cheeks and jowls. During a thread lift, the surgeon inserts thin threads into the face through tiny incisions made in the targeted area. These threads attach to the skin tissue and are then pulled back to lift and smooth the face. Treated areas will be raised slightly to eliminate sagging and give patients a rejuvenated appearance. Once the threads are knotted, they become hidden within the skin and any scars are virtually invisible. Contour thread lift is a type of thread lift that uses unique contour threads to get the desired results.

The best candidates are in their 30s to 60s and have relatively good skin tone. Most are beginning to experience sagging in their face or neck but do not have excessively loose skin or drooping facial areas that require more rigorous facelift surgery. Candidates should have realistic expectations. Patients may not be suited for the procedure if they have particularly weak or fragile skin, heavy jowls and sagging or a thin face with very little facial fat.

The typical cost for a thread lift ranges from $1500-$4500.The final cost depends on fees charged by the hospital or surgical facility, the surgeon’s level of expertise, the geographic location of the procedure and if any other procedures are performed at the same time.

A thread lift results in a rejuvenated facial appearance. In general, recovery from a thread lift is not intensive. Patients can go about their regular schedule with less recovery time after the process is completed. Usually, there will not be any limitations to basic mobility or function. Little bruising and swelling may occur directly after a thread lift. Overall, the results last between one and two years.
