A thigh lift, or thighplasty, removes excess fat and skin from the thighs to improve the look of the upper legs. Patients with a greater amount of skin, fat and tissue need longer incisions. Inner thigh lift makes an incision where the thigh meets the pubic area so the scar is hidden by underwear. A mini thigh lift targets the upper third of the leg and leaves a short scar in the groin. An outer thigh lift tightens the skin on the outside and the front of the leg with an incision that creates a “V shape”. A medial thigh lift is done on the upper portion of the inner thigh via an incision in the groin that goes to the back of the buttock crease.
