Body Wrap

The body wrap process begins with the patient having skin exfoliation performed. The detox process starts with the placement of a product such as heat cream, lotion, seaweed, algae, clay, mud or a gel to help the body get rid of toxins. The patient is wrapped in plastic or mylar to stay warm/heat the skin during the process. After about 20 minutes, the patient is removed from the wrap and the product is washed off the body. By heating the skin, the body gets rid of excess toxins and fluids which lead to a more contoured appearance, temporary weight loss and reduced cellulite on the body.

Ideal candidates for a body wrap are people looking to detoxify their body and to gain a temporary loss of weight and inches from the treatment. People that are good patients also include someone that will not overheat after being wrapped for 20 minutes or more.

The cost of a body wrap depends on the length of the wrap procedure, the area of the country where it is performed and the type of product used on the patient. In general, a body wrap costs anywhere from $80-$275.

The results of a body wrap include tighter skin, a more contoured appearance, weight loss and a loss of inches that can be pinched off the body.  The final results last anywhere from 2-6 months.
